The HOPE Career Grant, formerly known as the Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant, is available to HOPE Grant-qualified students who enroll in select majors specifically aligned with industries in which there are more jobs available in Georgia than there are skilled workers to fill them. These industries have been identified as strategically important to the state’s economic growth.

All eligibility requirements for the HOPE Grant and Zell Miller Grant apply to the HOPE Career Grant, formerly known as the Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant.

  1. Meet HOPE's U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizen requirements;

  2. Be a legal resident of Georgia;

  3. Meet enrollment requirements;

  4. Be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements;

  5. Meet academic achievement standards;

  6. Be in good standing on all student loans or other financial aid programs;

  7. Be in compliance with the Georgia Drug-Free Postsecondary Education Act of 1990;

  8. Not have exceeded the maximum award limits for any HOPE or Zell Miller programs;

  9. Must be eligible for, and receiving, HOPE or Zell Miller Grant funding.


ANTSHE Scholarship Program

For over 21 years, the Association for Non-Traditional Students in Higher Education has been awarding scholarships to motivated and committed non-traditional student members of the organization. In addition to the scholarships awarded April 2019 at the annual conference, ANTSHE has awarded over $100,000 in scholarships.

The purpose of ANTSHE Scholarships is to assist nontraditional students in their college education. ANTSHE awards scholarships in varying amounts each academic year. Applicants are required to be enrolled full-time or plan to enroll for the academic year at an accredited college or university in a four-year undergraduate program of study.

HOPE GED GRANT

To apply for the Hope GED scholarship

HOPE GED grant is to students who received a General Education Development (GED) diploma awarded by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG). The grant provides a $500 HOPE award that can be used towards tuition, books or other costs at an eligible institution

To receive the HOPE GED Grant, students must:

  1. Receive a GED diploma from the Technical College System of Georgia;

  2. Meet HOPE's U.S. citizenship or eligible non-citizen requirements;

  3. Meet HOPE's Georgia residency requirements;

  4. Enroll at an eligible postsecondary institution in Georgia;

  5. Be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements;

  6. Be in compliance with the Georgia Drug-Free Postsecondary Education Act of 1990. A student may be ineligible for HOPE payment if he or she has been convicted for committing certain felony offenses involving marijuana, controlled substances, or dangerous drugs;

  7. Not be in default or owe a refund on a student financial aid program.
